YMCA Class Descriptions
NEW! Step & Sculpt Starts June 1st.
This is a basic step class for beginners who want to learn the Rhythm and choreography used in step class. We will use easy to follow, repetitive drills with various step movements and simple routines. This class utilizes a variety of resistance tools and exercises to tone and shape the entire body.
NEW! Boot Camp Starts June 2nd.
This 60- minute class, for men & women, offers a combination of military style calisthenics and strength training for a very intense workout!
NEW! Yoga Tai Chi Starts June 2nd.
For an investment of 45 minutes each morning, the payback is reduced stress, a sense of calm and peace, improved strength, limberness, better immune function and lower blood pressure. This beginner’s class will move your whole body through a complete series of seated and standing yoga poses as well as a series of smooth Tai Chi moves that strengthen the muscles around the knees and give better balance. Chair support is offered to safely perform a variety of postures.

Transform your body with this resistance tools training with a combination of control speed and power.
AM Cardio This class is a great combination of cardiovascular activity. Between the use of step and floor aerobics, you will receive a very invigorating workout! Following a cardio time of 25-40 minutes, there will be muscle toning using free weights. This is a great workout to get going for the day!
Yoga This advanced class will take your body through a series of yoga poses helping to increase your flexibility, balance and range of movement. Breathing exercises and relaxation will also reduce stress.
Tae Kwon Do This class is offered for all ages. Please request info at the front counter.
Spin Rhythmic, low impact movements on an indoor bicycle are suitable for all levels of fitness and endurance. An Instructor coaches you through a high energy, calorie and fat burning session. Bring a water bottle.
SilverSneakers MuscularStrength and Range of Movement Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of motion and activities for daily living. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles, and a SilverSneakers ball is offered for resistance, in addition a chair is used for seated exercise and/or support.
